Sustainability Case Night – Tourism & Hospitality 13 November

What’s the event about?
You’ll join fellow students in tackling real-world sustainability challenges facing the tourism and hospitality sector. Teams will work directly with four local organisations to develop creative, practical ideas for the city’s future.

Who are the partner organisations and what are the challenges?

  • Visit Helsingborg: Exploring how a “sustainable-choice reward” scheme (inspired by Copenhagen’s CopenPay) might work in Helsingborg — e.g., rewarding visitors for cycling or choosing plant-based meals.

  • Helsingborg Citysamverkan (HBG City): With retail in decline, they’re asking: What should the future city centre look like to stay vibrant and sustainable?

  • Helsingborgs Hotellgrupp: How can the hotel sector use digitalisation to reduce environmental impact and better communicate their sustainability efforts?

  • The City’s Labour Market Administration (Arbetsmarknadsförvaltningen): How can we make the hospitality sector more attractive to young people — a key recruitment challenge?
